Pretty cool how little he understands the democracy he presided over. He doesn’t have authority to declassify many of those documents. He was President of the United States, not the known universe.

The “money’s going to Ukraine” part is what makes this guy a bad person. Seems like the greatest superpower in history could fix the water of a small town and support those suffering from an invasion all at the same time. This guy doesn’t want to help either one, he just wants to use one to browbeat the other. Cool stuff, republicans.

“Abolish the IRS” is the only thing Conservatives say that resonates with me as a progressive. But it’s a lot like ‘defund the police’ where the tag line doesn’t quite align with the policy proposal. You don’t really abolish the IRS, you point them exclusively at businesses and take individuals off the hook. You could restructure the income tax as a VAT, make life a lot easier on everyone, and even the people who are not here legally are paying their fair share. If they’d make some noise about this stuff, instead of the pro-wrestling theatrics they seem to spend their time on these days, they would be a lot more palatable to people.
